I have been a technologist, entrepreneur, and business leader in the Bay Area for over 25 years. Although my full name on records is Kittur Nagesh, I go by Nagesh, thanks to inconsistent interpretations of last and first names in various parts of the world!
My experience spans engineering, product management, and marketing roles in established companies Intel, HP, Cisco, and Juniper Networks, as well as in startups. Currently, as the founder and CEO of Cognito Networks, I am focused on delivering a cloud-ready solution to enterprises to harness the power of Internet of Things and transform their business.
Poetry, music, running, tennis, listening to NPR, and discussing a multitude of topics with people of all ages keep me energized. I fervently believe that literary indulgences frequently provide outlets to express/share our thoughts and emotions. I am sharing several of my popular poems and literary works through these pages. I have an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. I have built and worked with high-performance teams throughout my career, filed for 30+ patents, 16 of which have been granted, and presented at technology conferences and panels.
